This was said by Marco Cavaller, the head of the EMA working group for Devivar-19 vaccines and therapies.
“Studies confirm that the third dose helps in cases of immunodepression patients” said Cavaller, under which the effects of immunization are reduced over time.
“Priority for public health remains the end of the vaccine cycle for those who have not yet done the” vaccine, he followed.
EMA general manager also stressed that the European agency expects to receive data from Pfizxer for children under the age of 12 in early October and the Moderna in early November.
Until today, no request has been taken to expand the indicator for a Covid-19 vaccine to children under the age of 12. The EMA expects Pfizer to present data to children between the ages of 5 and 11 in early October and that Modernna data will be obtained in early November”.
