Civil society estimates that because of the short work of the Kosovo Assembly, they would have to set priorities, meanwhile, there should be a reform of how MPs are compensated for their work and for lack of wage sanctions.
Agnes Haxhiu of the Kosovo Democratic Institute has said about RTV Dukagjin that the Kosovo Assembly should set priorities.
“I think that the Kosovo Assembly should also set priorities for this remaining period of year to be more realistic in line with the deadline remaining by the end of 2021”, Haxhi said.
And Erblin Hoxha from the Fol Movement has said MPs missing from the sessions should be sanctioned for pay.
There should not only be sanctions for missing MPs, but also need to be compensated for and how they see their role within the Assembly to radically change”, Hoxha said.
On the other hand, he added that the “a single salary of an MP should suffice for them to go and finish their job for which they demand the vote of citizens”
