Asked by the correspondent of the daily '%Liberation' in Tirana, Louis Seiller, for his statement that Albania will be paid for accepting Afghan refugees, Rama has responded coldly: That's a lie.

He has explained, that some of the Afghans who have arrived have worked in their country for non-government organisations and private companies, and that they are the ones covering their expenses, but without giving any cents to the Albanian state.

The Albanian prime minister has stated in the interview that the US has proposed official financing Tirana for the establishment of refugee camps, but that this has not been accepted by the Albanian government. Because camps are dehumanizing and create problems with the population, he said.

Edi Rama has also acknowledged that Albania is processing a plan for their integration into society, starting with children. He added that not all will be given visas to go to the US, and some will always remain in place.

Some of them are journalists and technicians and we're looking at the possibility to integrate them into our media system, Rama found.

They have not missed this interview nor criticism of Europe, which according to Rama has fallen hostage to xenophobia and that her founding fathers would have been ashamed if they saw her today.
