The defence ministry has denied reports that the Kosovo Security Forces are making military preparations to enter Kosovo's north.
This has been done by the ministry itself through an announcement, clarifying that the KSF makes the decision in compliance with the Constitution and co-ordination with KFOR.
“Dezinforms that, if the KSF is preparing military troops for intervention in the north of Kosovo, are completely false, and are aimed at deinforming the opinion, to present a state of uncertainty to our citizens of the Serb community”, the statement said.

The Ministry of Defence, with the aim of fair information of public opinion, through this official announcement, reacts to all false news, malicious propaganda, biased and false disinformation, scattered among our citizens in the northern part of Kosovo, some even published in media.
Dezinforms that, if the KSF is preparing military troops for intervention in the north of Kosovo, are completely untrue, and are aimed at deinforming the opinion, to present a situation of uncertainty for our citizens of the Serb community.
We remind you that, the Ministry of Defence with the KSF, is the state institution that implements its duties and competencies in line with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the laws in power, as well as full co-ordination with other state authorities and KFOR.
The KSF is a professional and multiethnic organisation, formed, built and developed in full co-operation, co-ordination and support of NATO, the US and other NATO member partners and partners.
