This is Daut Haradinaj's plan to accommodate young couples

A municipal government in Pristina that would be led by Daut Haradinaj would intervene in many sectors. One of them, as expressed in the program, is the social aspect of the creation of new families that affects young couples. Daut Haradinaj, Pristina's presidential candidate, plans that as head of the capital realises the project for municipal residences, modeled for public-private financing, which would be sold to certain categories at prices and very favourable conditions that residences built for commercial purposes.

Haradinaj's programme says that those couples who will take these residences will not be obliged for financial participation, but will start directly with monthly payments for the 20-year period.

As an example, a 100 m2 flat would be sold for 60,000 euros, with an equal tranche of 250 euros per month, for 20 years. The buyers will have the opportunity to finalise the purchase at any time they have the financial opportunity.

The most likely beneficiaries of such residences would be young couples, by the age of 35, who have more than one child and who could wish they lived in family communities and in narrow spaces for normal living. The program says that if a young couple live with their extended family in residences less than 80 m2 feet [80 m], it is considered inappropriate space for the couple.

According to analysis, this favor for young couples would affect improving quality of life, independence of new families, and creates adequate space for child growth and sound development.

Furthermore, Haradinaj aims at building municipal dwellings according to the concept of renewable energy (Solar energy and geothermal energy), as well as modern isolation. This Haradinaj proposal has been extremely well received by young people, who often postpone their marriages and family plans, in the absence of adequate housing spaces.
