Local Czech media did not report on the reason for Zeman's sending to the hospital, while his spokesman was not immediately available for comments, Reuters writes, broadcast Gazeta Express.
The Czech news page, Novinky.cz, published a video of Zeman, 76, getting out of the car and getting into the hospital through a cart.
The Czech media said the president could stay in the hospital for a long time, but did not provide the source for this report.
Otherwise, Zaman is known as an opponent of Kosovo's independence. This year, he apologised to Serbia for the NATO bombings.
