Criteria for Subvention of Milk, KPSC appears at request for the Ministry of Agriculture

The Milky Producers' Association (SHPQK) has expressed its concern today on application procedures and the form of criteria for subsidisation by the Ministry of Agriculture, as under the circumstances created, according to her, a considerable number of farmers will not have access to application. A media communique reportedly disputes [...]

One media communiqué says that disagreements like the association of milk producers have also presented them as part of the working groups but also ahead of the publication of milk subsidies regarding some of the published criteria.

Also, we've proposed even greater support for this highly important sector, especially based on the circumstances that are burdened by the introduction of COVID-19. Unfortunately, our demands and suggestions were not taken into account, but they were completely ignored”, said the communique.

The KPS says its opposition particularly concerns the administrative directive for “the not-recognized contract supply of milk issued from licensed milk milk stations in Kosovo or from the milk collection stations registered as businesses and which have contracts with any licensed”.

“As far as implementing this criterion for noering contracts between farmers as milk producers as well as milk processing factories, we think, notary only confirms a declaration between the two sides, in this case contract (the producers and processors), but not also guarantees for correctness and continuity regarding the terms of accepting milk delivery.

This will only be additional bureaucracy, taking on the basis that an average processing company has about 200 to 300 contracted farmers, and in this case it will create a lot of waste of time, additional expenses that the producer and milk processing will be charged with, while there will be no effect at all”, the communique says.

The KPS calls for the Ministry of Agriculture's adoption of their demands, as according to it, current criteria are only burdening the application mode and unable to benefit earned farmers, the communique concludes.
