China hopes both Israel and Palestine will seize the opportunity to continue building the moment, gradually rebuild confidence, engage in strategic selection of peace talks, and resume dialogue equally, at an early” date, Shuang, China's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, says.
Last week, the Security Council and the Arab League have had a deepening exchange of views about the regional situation, including the Palestinian issue, he said.
“Kina supports strengthening co-ordination and co-operation between the Security Council, the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation. China supports holding an international UN-led peace conference, with the participation of permanent members of the Security Council and different parties of interest in the Middle East peace process. ”
These statements by the Chinese diplomat come about four months after the latest crossings in Gaza.
