WHO: China takes another step toward building the artificial sun

China wants to build a mini-day on Earth and house it in a reactor. This was the purpose of many teams of scientists around the globe that would create unlimited clean energy through nuclear fusion. But according to Chinese state media, the Chinese team has set a new world record: temperature from [...]
But according to Chinese state media, the Chinese team has set a new world record: 120 million degrees Fahrenheit per 101 seconds.
Nuclear fusion reactions require an incredible amount of heat and pressure an environment of temperature and sunlike oppression, reports New Atlas, render Periscope.
If scientists can build the sun on earth, they can create endless energy in imitation of the sun. In nuclear fusion, heat and extreme pressure create plasma. Then, within that plasma, two or more hydrogen core crashes together, joining a heavier atom, and releasing a ton of energy in the process.
According to New Atlas, in 2016, the team of scientists in China can heat hydrogen plasma up to 50 million degrees Fahrenheit [50 million ° C] in 102 seconds. Only after two years did they reach 100 million degrees Fahrenheit in 10 seconds. So, record after record.
The temperatures are amazing, but shortness in time, and lack of oppression is a major obstacle.
Fusion is simple to the sun because stars are massive and gravity offers pressure across the surface.
But on earth, we have to give pressure to a place to keep the reaction alive and which should be completely equal.
However, the new record is hopeful. /Periscope
