(5 years ago)Charged at the US Embassy in Pristina, Nicholas Giacube, has announced that he has met today with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, with whom they have discussed the latest situation created in northern Kosovo following the establishment of reciprocity for license plates. Giacobbe has said that at this meeting they have discussed the importance of dialogue mediated by the European Union to resolve the issue of license plates and other issues.
The immediate “steps are required to stress the situation. Actions may have undesirable consequences that negatively affect the daily lives of citizens”, he said.
Good meeting w/ PM @Oblancurti on import of reengaging in the EU-facilitated Dialogue to restore licenses & other institutions. Immediate steps are needed to de-scalate tensions. Acts can have been unintended with different kinds of things, so we're going to be able to do it every day.
