At today's CEC meeting, Radoniqi said the idea of delaying local elections has been raised from the top of the state, but, he has given no opinion on the issue, as he considers it not in the CEC's competence for delaying elections or cutting the election campaign.
The question of postponement, or reduction of the election campaign, is also being raised, but in this issue I have not given thought, nor have I dealt with that issue. The campaign issue, I have always said, is a legal matter. I don't see any reason we have for reducing the campaign unless we have extraordinary elections, in fair elections we don't have any campaign cuts. As for delaying the election date is not in my power, nor the CEC, and the law does not foresee the issue. I don't know about this, I know this case is in interest, but as far as I'm concerned, I didn't discuss the matter. It's a matter, but I haven't given thought and no interest in thinking. Mine is only to lead this commission, in relation to the work of the secretariat and members”, he said.
The meeting with Osman, the CEC leader said he has sought to address the problem of the CEC object and the demand for vaccination of about 30,000 people who are involved in the October 17th elections, writes Kp.
“has been a meeting requested by me, the purpose of the appointment has been for object space for secretariat staff. We've made a decision by former Minister Veliu, when I wasn't the leader that the annex of this building on the right is given to the CEC for staff needs. We've been communicating with MPBs, but I can say we haven't accepted an answer since the decision was made. My goal has been to ask the president to have communication with the minister, as they are not responding to this object. We've got the underactive conditions in this building we're in, and especially in the pandemic conditions... the other issue that's disk is the need to vaccinate the staff that will work on election day. On this issue I have asked the president to have understanding that she raise this issue for vaccinating some 25-30 thousand people who will work election day”, he added.
The request to be informed of Radonici's meeting with President Osmani made PDK and LDK members in the CEC.
