That makes it impossible for Basha to be a mayoral candidate.
The Court of Appeals has proven the guilt of former Cline Mayor Sokol Basota for failing to declare his wealth.
The appeal has deemed the parole and 1,200-euro fine sentence the Peja Court had pronounced in February of this year.
The same verdict was made by the Court of Appeals a few days ago, even for accused Enver Berisha, whom the Peja court had sentenced to six months in prison on bail.
The College of Courts of Appeals has concluded that the court of first degree acted when it declared the accused.
Sokol Basota was found guilty because he had never declared car “BMW X5<18x1>, worth 65 thousand euros and not even the 79 square metres residence in Pristina, although it was his duty to do so.
He has not, according to the prosecution, declared the car “Jeep” nor the annual income 3,000 euros a month from renting the apartment.
While Enver Berisha was convicted after failing to declare it to the 5,500 square metres-wide Anti-Corruption Agency.
