In the 17 October local elections, about 1 million and 885 thousand citizens will have the right to vote, while around 24 thousand voters will be young in contrast with the recent early elections. Also, 90 thousand voters who have voted abroad are included on the official voter's list.
These details at today's CEC meeting announced to Arian Elshani by the Council for Election Operations.
“List represents 1 million and 885 thousand and 448 voter names, which are for 90 thousand more voters than the early Kosovo Assembly elections that have been held on February 14th. This figure may be considered high, but the reason behind is because those who voted in the last elections abroad, this time have moved within the Kosovo list and we have only 150,000 on the voter list abroad. In relation to the new voters we will get for the October 17th elections, there are 24 thousand new voters who have reached 18 years of age and will vote for the first time in local elections”, Elshani said.
The CEC at today's meeting certified the new Ballist Party candidate for head of Pec until it was told that the PDK has not submitted a name for another candidacy in this city, following the incident that took place last week, where Astrit Ademiaj lost his life.
Office of Certificate and Recording of Political Partys Director Yll Buleskaj also said that even a candidate from the ranks of the Serbian List in the Kloko municipality should be decetified because of problems with the Law for Elections.
“The mayorate candidate in the Pec municipality has passed away, so far it has been given time to submit the replacement candidate, the same possibility has been made for the PDK's candidate for mayor of the Pec municipality. We only accepted an app for the mayoral candidate from the Ballist Party on schedule... Today we've received information from the KDR that a candidate we've certified before has now been found to have a piece of shape. In this form, candidacy for elections is impossible, it's about candidate Zarko Dudnovic. The political party this candidate comes from has been given information as soon as it is accepted and the same has until tomorrow to replace”, Buleskaj said.
CEC preparations for local elections announced the chief chief of the CEC Secretariat, Burim Ahmetaj.
The paperwork has been prepared and addressed to the Health Ministry for Tactici given the list for nomination to vaccinate all staff nominated by political parties to work on election day... for voting centre “1 October”, which is currently a vaccine centre, the Secretariat has identified the location for the transfer of polling stations to Pristina. So in the current situation it is impossible to restore the object for use and use for election day. We have been looking for options or centres that are close to this”, he said.
In the case of the discussion on local election training manual, Sami Kurteshi of the Vetevendosje Movement said there should be no recounting at the counting centre without any legal consequences.
There will be no recounting at the counting centre without any consequences and responsibilities. We have had cases where the entire FPR went without a signature or were not read”, Kurteshi said.
