While the Democratic Party of Kosovo had three such candidates, they are now left with only two, following the withdrawal of Ismaili Bridge, which cleared the MP's position.
Legally, they are not obliged to free their current positions, being only the candidate for mayor.
Emir Abrashi from Democracy Plus showed the form of how MPs or ministers who assume other positions are replaced.
The procedure to replace that candidate is made by the current candidate of the same party, which has failed to get enough votes to enter the party's MP list. The replacement is made from the party's list that has started elections”, Abrashi told RTV Dukagini.
The Vetevendosje candidate movement, which has other positions, has Arben the Year, Alban Hysen, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Salih Zyba of Adnan Rousstemin.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo had Ismaili Bridges, Florenta Zejundah and Bedri Hamza.
Other parties do not have ministers or deputies running for mayors of any municipality.
