He was returning to his bus after visiting a brewery when he was stoned but was not injured.

Trudeau called for early elections in mid-August, hoping to win the majority for his centre-left Liberal party.

But his campaign has been marred by demonstrations against the Devid-19 vaccine and other restrictions.

A little over a week ago, the prime minister was forced to cancel an electoral rally after an angry mob of protesters waited for activity.

Speaking to reporters on his campaign plane following the London incident, Ontario, Trudeau said he may have been hit on the shoulder.

According to a Canadian CTV National News reporter, two people traveling on a media bus were also hit by gravel, though they were not injured.

Erin O'Toole, leader of the opposition Conservative Party, described the incident as the disgusting “”. “Political violence is never justified and our media must be free of threats, harassment and violence,” he wrote on Twitter.

Trudeau's plans for vaccination have become a key issue ahead of the September 20th elections.

Last month, the government announced that all civil servants, including workers in railway sectors, must be vaccinated by the end of October or risk losing their jobs.

Passengers of the commercial train, navigations and provincials also need to be vaccinated to travel.

Canada has one of the highest levels of vivid vaccine in the world.

Protests attracting Canadian prime ministers are not a new phenomenon, and many prime ministers, including Trudeau, have faced security threats.
