Blinken has said he thanked Kurt for expecting Afghans, while he has forgotten neither the citizens of Kosovo, while remembering that many of them were once refugees.
In my conversation today with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kuri, I thanked the government and the people of Kosovo for hosting Afghans at risk. Kosovo citizens, many of whom once refugees have again demonstrated their willingness and capacity to contribute to global peace and security”, State Secretary Antony Blinken wrote.
For this conversation, Kurti also wrote on Twitter, who said that Kosovo's friendship with the US is becoming stronger.
It's a pleasure to speak with Secretary Antony Blinken today. He expressed President Beden's appreciation for our support and co-operation. Kosovo is honored to offer a safe and protected environment for Afghan citizens during their transition. Our alliance with the United States is steadfast and our friendship is becoming stronger”, Kurti wrote.
The 700 Afghan ruins, which were evacuated from their country because the Taliban took power, have been admitted to Kosovo. Kosovo has taken over to accept hundreds of other Afghans as well.
