AWA official identified as informing cafe owners of police operations

Kosovo police have begun implementing the operational plan in the implementation of competent institutions' decisions, for preventing the spread of the COVID19 pandemic by constantly taking police action in order to preserve public health.

Along with these additional KP commitments, on the other hand the Kosovo Police Inspectorate within the responsibilities and legal mandate has drafted the Operational Plan for monitoring the respect of Kosovo government's decisions on implementing preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19.

The aim of this monitoring is to contribute to the establishment of responsibility in the undertaking of necessary police action and to promote the seriousness of the police structure to take effective steps in managing the situation.

The monitoring has focused on engaged police capacities, respect for the implementation of the government's measures, and co-operation with other actors involved in managing the situation created by Ovid 19.

During the implementation of the operating plan “Monitorisation of the implementation of anti-Cavid-19” last night in the Prizren region, IPK investigators have identified that several businesses that were opened on time were being announced in advance by someone for operations of the Kosovo Police and AUV inspectors.
