American expert: The license decision was made to change dialogue dynamic

American expert for the Balkans Alon Ben Meir has recently been declared in terms of the Government of Kosovo's decision to reciprocity with Serbia and the decision that each vehicle that entered from Serbia to Kosovo imposes pro-profit plates. Ben Meir said the prime minister's decision, Albin Kurti, to withdraw Serbian license plates from vehicles entering [...]
Ben Meir said the prime minister's decision, Albin Kurti, to withdraw Serbian plates from vehicles entering Kosovo was a necessary step to take at this particular moment, especially when there is hardly any progress in dialogue between the two countries for normalisation of relations.
There was something to do to disrupt the status quo, in order to change the dynamic of negotiations between the two countries”, he added.
The American expert said that in this direction, Kurt's decision was meant to send a clear message that the time has come for the United States of America and most of the European Union in particular, which recognise Kosovo's independence, to seek equal measures from both countries.
It should be commemorated that the Kosovo government made its decision now 10 days to establish reciprocity against the Serbian state.
Since that day, vehicles that want to enter Kosovo's territory must certainly be equipped with temporary license plates, otherwise unable to enter.
But numerous Serbs continue to protest at the vicinity of border points in Jarinje and Brnjak for 10 days now.
Unlike these two border points, the White Land and the Merdare process of equipment with these provatory plates has not had any major opposition.
From the Ministry of Internal Affairs days ago it became known that the device with these plates is continuing smoothly.
Regarding the situation created in the north by making this decision, numerous reactions were made by internationals.
Representatives of the EU and those of the United States have consistently declared that the only way to resolve this situation is dialogue.
In Brussels today, dialogue is under way between Kosovo representatives and those of Serbia, from which international orders are expected to take place from now on with the situation created between the two countries.
