The World Health Organization has empowered new air quality guidelines Wednesday, saying air pollution is one of the biggest threats to human health, resulting in seven million premature deaths a year.
This organisation has said urgent action is needed to reduce pollution until it has listed its damage to smoking and unhealthy food.
“O The BSH has changed almost all air quality guidelines, warning that overcoming new levels is linked to significant risks in health” has said, adding that “implementation of new levels can preserve millions of lives”.
Instructions aim to protect people from the harmful effects of air pollution, and the same are used as references from governments to create standards that need to be applied.
Last time O The BSH has published guidelines for air quality was 2005. / REL
