Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti, through a Facebook script, has been addressed to Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislim for gas flow, as the latter said gas does not come from America.
This is about the power project, investment by the MCC American Corporation, which totals $200 million. But, the Kosovo government has set unacceptable conditions for Americans.
Ahmeti told Bislim that Kosovo loses if we behave like elephants with the weight of the mouse.
We have no ambassadors. And we still have no basic institutions. I'm being brought up as a weighted elephant of the mini, not only do you lose as a government, but we as a state” wrote Ahmeti.
Faithful Bislimi said the gas, which will come to Kosovo, does not come from America, but from Russia and Azerbaijan.
Below, find Ahmeti's complete writing:
Mr. Bislimi, we know the gas doesn't come from the United States. I never heard anyone say that. In the worst case of all of you, there's been an American interest. Don't say supporters are protecting the Russian gas. It's bad first and false in essence.
The MCC supports it because it's also in American strategic interest. But in the first place is the interest of Kosovo. Access to gas lines allows for coal alternatives. The lower cost and amount of reserves provide additional security that is a good opportunity for Kosovo.
And it completely reduces dependence on other gas networks for the United States and Allies. TAP has been created as a source of gas for Europe to reduce dependence on Russian gas.
Since international relations are not based on justice but on interests, alignment on major topics must be done carefully.
The major theme with inconsistent responses from our country does not do you as our government as a society.
We still have no ambassadors. And we still have no basic institutions. I'm acting like a heavy elephant of mini, not only you as a government, but we as a country.
Before commenting on Pristina, this project would have major significance for Pristina and family economies by reducing costs.
