“Today I visited the country where I was born, Block 1 and 2, the intellectual center, where Pristina and Kosovo evolved, where I spent my childhood. Both photographs were shot in the same spot, one in 1981 and the other in 2021. Forty years have passed and this neighbourhood has been forgotten by past leaders. Bright names such as Qamili e Vogel, Muharrem Doda, Shani Pallaska, Malo Gami, Zekijya Reja, Nyazi Maloku, Rzazak Shala, Zeqir Bajrami, Halil Turku, Bujar Emra, Abdurrahman Shala, Katarina Josipi, Melihatte Ajetti, Edmond Islami, Luan Prekazi, Reshat Randova, Freedom Tanefi etc. On my visit, I met the residents, the old neighborhood friends who wanted a memorial plaque with the names of intellectuals and artists who lived in Block 1 and 2. The same calls for the facade of buildings, improvement of asphalt and sidewalks, which were paved in November 2020, greenery, grass at the beginning of the road, labelling the road back to the way it was, Block 1 and 2, central heating, and placing underground wire. My friends, residents of Block 1 and 2, I promise you that with my selection as an Assemblyist, I will raise my voice to fulfill your demands. This neighborhood should never be forgotten”, he wrote on Facebook.
