The Kosovo Journalists' Association has attended with concern continuing attacks on media that come from Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani's office. Her adviser, Blerim Vela, has sometimes used degrading language by labeling media “of the former Proto” regime.
The AGK considers this language to be lynching and serving to spread hatred and attacks on journalists and media in Kosovo.
Coming from the highest state office, these actions of Mr. Vela affect the intimidation of journalists and the creation of an uncertain environment for their work.
The AGK invites President Osmani to distance himself and ensure that such attacks are not repeated by her office.
