Afghan women protested outside the Presidential Palace in Kabul this Friday, urging the country's new Taliban leadership to protect women's rights.
Protesters held banners and called for their voices to be heard, the AP writes, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
A society where women are not active is a dead society”, a banner said.
The protest comes a day after a group of women gathered in the province of Herat to protest to be participants in government and their rights in education and work.
Taliban leaders have sought to design a more moderate image in recent months, including saying women and girls will be able to attend school and work in accordance with Islamic law.
