The situation in Montenegro has already been tense, where objections to holding the austerity ceremony have surfaced several weeks ago, but on 4 September protesters began to leave on the streets of Cetinje, as well as to establish barricades.
Fights with Montenegrin police have also been reported. Numerous security forces are located in the city.
Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic, from the Democratic Party of Socialists, arrived in Cetinje on 4 September. He had said earlier that he would go to protest if the Serbian Orthodox Church does not give up the ceremony. It has called on citizens to contribute to the preservation of peace, stability and multiethnic harmony.
