For 9 months over 3 thousand and 500 Kosovars gave up their citizenship

According to statistics from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kosovo citizenship has abandoned it for these nine months more than 3,000 citizens.

Most did so to gain German citizenship.

Arbnor doctor from the Gambit Institute says this is a high figure.

However, according to the doctor, the pandemic has influenced such a number to give up citizenship because the figures would be even higher.

But he says this number is still small with the previous years due to pandemic.

The doctor also shows why Kosovo citizens are giving up their citizenship for these countries.

Meanwhile, within the last four years of their citizenship has lifted over 20,000 people.
