2016, 2019, 2021: Three controversial warnings of war with Serbia by Albin Kurti

The situation in northern Kosovo has been tense since yesterday following the establishment of reciprocity for license plates by the Kosovo government. Serbia's military is seen moving south, Kosovo territory, increasing fears of a further escalation. But what was the position of Prime Minister Kurti for a possible war? [...]
In September 2016 [right five years ago], the situation on the demarcation issue with Montenegro had produced a long-standing internal political conflict and left Kosovars without free movement in European Union countries.
Then opposition Albin Kurti warned in September 2016 that the issue could also produce war.
“Kuzi is a matter of dividing territory. We have no land to forgive. Blood has been shed on that land, and we have no blood to forgive. Thaci and Mustafa resign. In the next 4-5 years, there's likely to be war again,” said Kurti, conveys Periscopi.
Even in an interview aired on public television [ RTK], Albin Kurti had stated that the next five years is more likely to have war [with Serbia] than not to have,”
Prime Minister Kurti has mentioned war in other cases, but November 2019 had a more important emphasis.
He was opposing the idea of exchanging territories.
There is no exchange of territory without bloodshed! There will always be Albanians and Serbs on both sides of the border. Therefore, the acceptance of the demarcation was yes, but not the exchange of territory,” was voiced Kurti for Serbian Danas.
In the latest rounds of negotiations with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucicinqi, Kurti had sought to sign a declaration in which both sides [Kosovo and Serbia] would ensure they would not attack each other militarily.
Of course, such a scenario does not seem at all to be taken into account that Kosovo is simply implementing an agreement [2011] that Kurt had once opposed and that simply refers to reciprocity of plates. /Periscope
