World's first Kosovo for the largest number of new cases with COVID-19

Kosovo ranks first in the world for the largest number of new cases infected with COVID-19 to 100,000 people.

On the World Page of Statistics, Kosovo is ranked first on the list with the largest number of new cases, and behind the country is America, India, Brazil and Russia.

Today alone, there are 2,000 and 295 new cases of COVID-19 and 18 victims.

The high number of cases infected with the virus were also reported in the country in the past few days, when more than 2,000 infected were also recorded.

Kosovo has so far recorded 137 thousand and 113 cases infected with COVID-19, though this number is estimated to be much higher.

The number of active virus cases, however, has gone to 24 thousand and 539.

Even the number of victims with COVID-19 is going up in Kosovo.

So far, 2 grand and 388 people have found death as a result of the virus.

Opposition analysts and MPs have criticised Health Minister Arben Vitita, who is not managing the situation with pandemic properly until they have blamed him for increasing the number of cases infected with COVID-19.

While, at a time when COVID-19 variant is spreading rapidly, Kosovo has vaccinated

508 thousand 540 people with the first dose of vaccine, and 256 thousand and 235 with second dose.
