In a ceremony run by Pope Francisescu at St. Peter's Basilica, Mother Teresa was sanctified five years ago in her birthday note.
It was sanctified 13 years after Joy by Pope John Paul II and 19 years after his death.
Tens of thousands attended the ceremony.
It became sacred after Pope Francis officially recognised two miracles, believed to be the work of Mother Teresa, Kosovo announces.
In 2008 it was known that she had healed a Brazilian who was suffering from several brain tumors, and her second miracle is the cure of Monica Besra, who pointed out that she was cured of cancer after praying to Mother Teresa.
The famous Albanian nun worldwide obtained Indian citizenship in 1948. It is founder of “Benevolent Ministers” and has worked to help the poor and the broken people.
Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997, in Calcutta, India. She was born in Skopje on 26 August 1910. In 1979, Albanian humanist was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
