Two weeks after the report: Finance Ministry Clears Out for Exile Security Police

The Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers has announced that all fellow countrymen who stay more than a month can renew the subsidy security police in two ways, passing to one of the border points to get another police officer, or buying new police in one of the offices [...]
The Kosovo government from July 1st 2021 has made a decision to subsidise border security payments, only for vehicles and foreign license plates registered in the name of physical and legal persons.
The period of security police equipment has therefore started on July 1st and ends on December 31, 2021. Such subsidisation is not done for registered vehicles in Albania, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia.
About two weeks ago Metro reported a case, where an exile had to leave Kosovo to get security police for cars he had in Kosovo for three months.
Regarding these cases, two weeks later, the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers has come up with a clarification today.
The ministry has made it known that subsidised border police have 1-month validity and, in case they stay beyond the month-long term of the subsidised police, police can be renewed in two ways.
“BAR i) going through one of the border points again to get another state-subventioned police officer, or (ii) buying new police at one of the BKS offices within the country's territory”, the report said.
It is noteworthy that police officers bought within the country's territory are subject to a 35% discount, according to the BEC's decision.
This arrangement is necessary, taking into account that crossing through the border control system is the only way to identify the accuracy of the data that serve as the basis for subsisting of border police”, the announcement concludes.
