Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq accepted credentials from Kazakhstan's Ambassador Madi Atamkulov, India's Ambassador Sanjiv Koli, as well as Azerbaijani Ambassador Kamil Hasiev, writes RTS.
Vuciq welcomed Kazakhstan's ambassador, convinced that he -- on the basis of friendly relations between the two countries -- will successfully carry out his diplomatic task.
In this case, he noted the importance of the fact that Kazakhstan's diplomatic mission in Serbia rose to the level of an embassy two years ago.
The Serbian president asked Ambassador Atamkulov to convey greetings to President Tokayev, as well as the first president of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev, the Presidency announced.
He voiced hope that this year, when 25 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Kazakhstan, President Tokayev will pay an official visit, as well as other officials in this country, particularly the head of diplomacy.
Vuciq said Serbia and Kazakhstan should work on strengthening political relations through more intense exchange of formal visits and mutual support in multilateral forms, as well as strengthening economic co-operation.
Ambassador Atamkulov said he was honoured to represent his country in Serbia and conveyed the greetings of President Tokayev and the first President Nazarbayev. He said Kazakhstan considers Serbia an important political and economic partner.
Ambassador Atamkulov confirmed his country's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
Vuciq expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan's support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty by not recognising Kosovo, and hopes this support will continue to be expressed in international organisations.
