That is how directors of clinics in general hospitals in Kosovo announce.
According to Gnjilan hospital data, Gjakova and the Infectious Clinic in Pristina, by 13 August, none of the people who have been vaccinated and infected with COVID-19 have ended in death.
Arben Visaj, task manager of the Infectious Clinic of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo, said seven patients vaccinated with one or two doses of the vaccine have been treated in the last two weeks at this clinic.
Vaccinated “Patients have manifested disease, in medium-shaped clinical terms and mild shape, although they have been with very serious primary diseases, but due to the inoculation they have survived”, he said.
“Vaxing has a tremendous effect on the flow of the disease. Although the vaccine is not 100 percent to protect you from infection, it seems that it is high enough to protect you from developing the heavy form and not finish the patients with death”, Visaj added.
According to the August 14th 2021 report, the University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK) suggests that 272 patients are lying in hospitals and clinics where they treat coronary patients, where 196 of them are positive with COVID-19.
In general hospitals, 120 patients with coronavirus are being treated.
Gjakova's hospital has the largest number of patients or 53 patients, followed by Gjilan's with 29 patients lying down.
Gjakova Hospital Director Hilmi Shala told Radio Free Europe that in a report they did four days ago, by hospitalised patients, four have been vaccinated, one has been with two doses of vaccine, three others with one dose.
These patients are very old-fashioned. The situation is stable. They have been in oxygen therapy from time to time”, Shala said, adding that hospitalised patients who have not received the vaccine, have been infected with COVID-19, have an appeal to the public to be vaccinated.
Even at the Gjilan hospital, there have been cases of patients who have been vaccinated and then infected with coronavirus.
Uksin Ismili, director of this hospital, told Free Europe Radio that there were three patients vaccinated in this hospital, two with two doses of vaccine and one with one dose.
Their symptoms are lighter than symptoms of patients who are not vaccinated. That's the situation right now. My message is that the vaccine is the only weapon in hand to protect from COVID-19”, Ishmael said.
Radio Free Europe has also tried to obtain information for other hospitals where patients are being treated with COVIID-19, but Kosovo University Clinical Service Director (SHSKUK) Valbon Krasniqi has said they are at the data collection.
Enough vaccines
By 13 August, 579,510 doses of the vaccine against the coronarys have been administered in Kosovo, while 203,056 citizens have been vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.
Kosovo's National Public Health Institute has called on citizens to be vaccinated.
The Ministry of Health told Free Europe Radio they have sufficient doses of vaccine against COVID-19.
“MSH has vaccines to vaccinate any citizen of the Republic of Kosovo who expresses interest and needs to be vaccinated against COVID-19” says in a written answer to this ministry.
In Kosovo, the number of cases with COVID-19 has marked growth. In just three days, 2,578 positive cases have been recorded.
The Ministry of Health, on Thursday 12 August, imposed several new measures in the fight against the body of Coronervirus.
Among the measures, evidence of inoculation against this virus is included to enter nightclubs, discotheques, weddings, and other family parties of over 100, from August 20 to September 10.
The mask kiss has become binding unless a person walks alone in an outer environment, driving alone or in a group with no more than four persons, or during exercise.
Kosovo police have indicated that starting on Saturday, August 14th, they will be active in realisation and implementation of these measures.
Police will also take punitive measures against offenders. Therefore, we demand that wearing the mask be done in those cases as envisioned with recent decisions so that once again we can bring down the affected figures and jointly protect public health”, says the Kosovo Police Media Report. /rel/
