As the situation with Avid-19 is deteriorating globally, the US has listed Kosovo alongside five other states as very high-risk areas.
This means that the trip to Kosovo is forbidden for all those who are not vaccinated with both doses of vaccine.
Among other states that have been added to the list along with Kosovo are the Bahamas, Haiti, Lebanon, Morocco, and Sint Maarten.
All states belonging to the list of high risk zones (or, level 4) have more than 500 positive cases for 100,000 residents in the last 28 days.
Kosovo was listed at the risk level 3 so far, but with the massive increase in positive cases that have had the last 2 weeks this has changed.
This change that has been made will apply to travellers from Kosovo travelling to the US and vice versa. There's no information at the moment about how long this will take.
Although there has been an influx of citizens into the vaccination centers over the past few days, it seems hard to control the virus because the massive spread had already begun before.
There have also been cases where vaccinated persons have been infected despite taking two doses, which shows how dangerous and serious the situation is.
