The terrifying situation with Ovidius, the director of Clinic: We're under zero.

Sports Medical Clinic Director Artan Ahmeti has talked about the situation in this clinic and the capacities available for handling these cases. This clinic has been completely turned into the service of patients who have been affected by David-19.

There's probably even below zero actually because such rapid growth we've never had in any wave, and we haven't had so much of it in so many hospitals yet. It's a huge number, and the demand for hospitalization is huge. In the Sport Medicine Clinic for three days, all capabilities” have been filled, Ahmeti told the KP.

In the last 24 hours in this clinic alone, 16 new cases have been accepted, but Ahmeti says their overall situation is stable.

“In the Infectious Clinic 2, in the sports medicine facility currently are 95 possibilities for hospitalization and capacity are almost packed every day, but every day we have admissions and releases. So we've only had over 16 admissions in the last 24 hours and 13 releases. The overall condition of patients is stable, but we also have a serious one. The majority of patients are oxygen-therapy”, Ahmeti says.

This wave of corruption distribution, Ahmeti says it has distinguished the affected age groups.

The new age is the most affected, the average age makes up the majority of hospitalised patients. And as far as symptoms are concerned, it's about the same even though from time to time the gastrointhestial aspect... It is generally the average age because the vaccine in this age group has remained, very few have been vaccinated”, he adds.

Citizens treated in Sports Medicine are rarely vaccinated.

The majority of patients are unexplored. Five patients have one dose of vaccine, and four patients have two doses of vaccine”, he says.

The director of Sports Medicine, Artan Ahmeti, also tells of other arrangements being made for increased capacities.

“We are in question of opening new capacities, which are being discussed. It is still not an exact decision when, because there are still free places based on planning. However, there is another legend of Sport Medicine, which we just visited with the director. Where there is also a capacity of about 100 patients who can be treated”, he says.

He has called on all citizens to respect basic anti measures - CO VID, but which according to him, the Health Ministry should decide on new measures, since the health system is fragile.

Over 2,000 positive cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, while 16 people have lost their battle with this infection.
