At least two people have been killed and 12 have been injured after the Taliban have fired guns at protesters who placed the Afghan flag in Jalaabad.
The black and white flag of the Taliban who was flocking to the centre of Jalalabad, located 115km east of Kabul, has been removed and replaced with the flag of Afghanistan's state on Wednesday, writes AlJazeera.
Videos that are being circulated on social networks show the crowd of people spreading after gun shots.
A second video shows dozens of protesters waving the Afghan flag.
