The Taliban have issued a general amnesty for all government officials, urging them to return to work with “full trust”.
“A general amnesty has been announced for all... so you must start your routine life with full confidence,” said AFP, citing a Taliban statement.
This statement comes amid fear in Afghanistan, as all those who worked for the West-backed government or organizations who worked as translators for American troops, for example, fear punishments.
The Taliban are known for committing brutal sentences and are accused of committing war crimes something they deny.
