The investment in over 6m euros will be made by the Government of Serbia through the Office for Kosovo, which functions within its framework. This office's director, Petar Petkovic, threw stones at the University's construction in northern Mitrovica on Friday.

Former Minister for Dialog Edita Tahiri, who has also been Kosovo's chief negotiator in talks with Serbia, has said what is happening to the government that parallel Serb structures are building in front of its eyes.

“Until we as governments and I as the chief negotiator made the removal of Serb parallel structures in the north, what is happening to the government that parallel Serb structures are building in front of its eyes. Remove further than today Serbia laid the foundations of the parallel university in the north...”, wrote Tahiri in his account at “Facebook”
