In the Syrih Canton, for example, about 30 percent of infections are actually billed to people who return from vacation with a tendency to increase. Most of the infections have been taken at vacation sites such as Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Kosovo, reports “Neue Zürcher Zeitung”.
Swiss newspaper “NZ” reports that new infections are not only coming from famous holiday states, but a large number are also from Kosovo.
As many Kosovars have used this summer to finally meet with society and family in their homeland.
In their return, some of them are carrying the virus with them to Switzerland. One major reason for this is the small number of vaccines in the Balkan state: Less than 10 percent of the population has been vaccinated with two doses of vaccine”, says NZZ.
In Cyril Canton, the infection figures have increased markedly. According to the rate received within a week, 140 people are being infected each day. Individuals under 40 years of age are especially being affected. The average is said to be 29 years. In Zurich, infections rarely occur in nightlife, while in Basel this source is responsible for about a quarter of the infections.
Federal Public Health Office (BAG) urgently calls on returning travelers, even if they don't have symptoms. It's about those who haven't been vaccinated or cured. But it has not planned any further measures as tests continue to be free of charge.
