Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla has announced that Kosovo police will already work on 12-hour hours. This is due to increased control of the implementation of measures imposed against the Covid-19 virus.
He at a media conference said inspections would be added, especially in closed spaces.
After the Council for National Security meeting, Kosovo Police have already spent 12 hours to increase rigorous control and oversight of the government's measures. We as MPB are going to make sure that KPs are fully increasing their controls and especially in closed spaces, such as shopping centers, gastronomial fitne centres, or any other closed environment”, he said.
Furthermore, Svechla said police will monitor even persons who are infected with the Cavid-19 virus, based on IKSHPK lists.
He said that under surveillance there will be persons entering Kosovo and signing the declaration under oath that they will be self-aware.
Kosovo police will now take control of persons who are already on the IKSPK's list as infected, to ensure that those who do not need medical treatment are self-aware in their homes and also those who return to Kosovo and write under the oath of vetoation to make sure they abide by this task”. He said more.
The minister also provided details about the vaccine process with police officials.
Until August 30th 2021, we have 6807 police vaccinated or 74.14% of them. Another 2375 police officials remain. Within two or three days, we will have 100% inoculation of Kosovo police officers with the first dose”, he has said.
