Speaking from the CEC after the LDK's Rama Progress Report has come up with problems with ID.

It was reported in the media yesterday that Pristina's candidate for chairmanship, from the LDK ranks, has not been accepted as a candidate by the CEC, as the current one on the certificate application figures personal numbers according to UNMIK's ID, rather than Kosovo's. “12. Orderary candidate 1 on the list of candidates for the Municipal Assembly [...]
“12. The second-numbered candidate 1 on the list of candidates for the Municipal Assembly and the mayor of the Pristina municipality, figures personal numbers under UNMIK's ID, rather than RKS”, is said in the CEC document, which Infokus provided last night.
Regarding these reports, CEC spokesman Valmir Elesi has spoken.
He says that from August 17th, the office for registration of political parties and certificate has begun to inform political subjects of the corrections they should make.
“Based on the operational plan approved by the CEC, on 17 August the Office for Registeration of Political Partys and Certificate has begun to announce political subjects regarding the improvements or corrections they should make. This is an opportunity the law provides for general elections, and the law on local elections for political subjects to present improvements/reforms within the deadline set by the Office”, the CEC says.
Elez has said they have developed communication with all political subjects where any error or lack of documentation has been noted.
“Zyra has developed such communication with all political subjects, in which any error/munge documentation must be improved/managed. After this phase, as well as after completing the process of verifying candidates whether they are in line with Article 29 of the General Election Law, the Office will submit to the CEC recommendations for certificate or not to any candidate. As always, meetings are open to the media and will be able to convey the process of decision making the CEC”, he says.
