The last US military flight has left Kabul Airport, marking the end of a controversial 20-year presence in Afghanistan and America's longest war, the BBC writes.
Officials said the last C17 plane was established with the US ambassador aboard after midnight at local time Tuesday.
They added that the diplomatic mission to help those who cannot leave before the deadline will continue.
Meanwhile, party shootings were heard from the Taliban when the last plane left.
The flight of the plane was the last chapter in a controversial military effort, where the U.S. eventually handed over Afghanistan to Islamic militants, who wanted eradicate when American troops entered the country in 2001.
