Slovenian infection: Disaster awaits us in autumn

The number of daily infections is on the rise, she told reporters, adding that this was expected in view of the dominance of the more sticky delta variant.
“More than a third of the unvaccinated are in that population and it is important that they be protected in August, otherwise a disaster awaits us in autumn, hospitals will still be filled with patients,” Beovic, who heads the vaccine group in Slovenia.
In the week from July 18th to July 25th, the sequence determined that 98.1 percent of the body's analysed samples were delta variants, the government announced on Tuesday, adding that the source of the infection was in local transmissions, but also from the “imports” from other countries.
Due to the deterioration of the number of infections, Slovenia could be passed from a safe phase, <x0-secondile <xx1> to a more dangerous phase, <x2).
“Virus delta is spreading rapidly and in Slovenia we can talk about the exponential growth of infections with that variant, which now dominates, so we are in a really difficult position,” said Kacin.
It looks like we're going to enter the orange phase and it's the last time we convince people that they have to be vaccinated before the spread of the delta variant reaches such size that we're going to have to start closing the economy and other activities again,” said Kacin.
Slovenia had 181 cases in the last 24 hours, featuring a 71 per cent increase compared to a week ago, and projections say daily infections could be doubled by the end of next week, Slovenian media reports.
