On August 22nd, an 18-year-old girl was sent dead and with terrifying signs of body violence at Ferizaj Hospital. Two people a man of her husband allegedly abused her physically. Both have been arrested during the last few days by police.
This serious murder has again reinforced the debate over growing violence against women and girls in Kosovo.
But no more than two years ago, another case had shaken Kosovo. A minor girl from Drenas had experienced sexual violence from at least one teacher and a police official. In addition, for this case he was also accused of sexual violence by his lawyer, while a total of six people had ended up being charged.
Just for such a case, the candidate for Assembly from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks for the October 17th elections, Bedri Bytyqi, was expressed in a horror dictionary:
