The shocking story of the mother who was brutally murdered by the Taliban

Najia was at home with her three sons and her little daughter in a small village in northern Afghanistan when Taliban warriors knocked on their door.

Najia's daughter, Manizha, 25, knew that they would come because they had done the same for three days in a row. They asked her to cook food for 15 warriors.

My mother told them,” I'm poor, how can I cook for you”? The Taliban started beating him up. My mother fell down and they hit her with their guns. Maniage said.

Manizha said she shouted at the fighters to stop. They stopped for a moment before throwing a grenade into the other room and leaving while the flames spread. The mother of four children died of beating.

July 12th's deadly attack on Najia's home in the Faryab province was a shocking sight of the threat women now face throughout Afghanistan following the control of the Taliban capital, Kabul.

In 10 days, Taliban militants occupied dozens of district cities vulnerable to the withdrawal of American troops and allies. The militants ' speed caught locals unawares.

Some women said that they had no time to buy a burka in accordance with the rules of the Taliban that they needed to be covered and accompanied by a male relative when they left home.
