Their reaction comes after the Kosovo Court of Appeals ruling, which has confirmed the Constitutional Court's conviction in Pristina, under which the Kosovo Parliament MP from the Serb List, Ivan Todosijevic, was sentenced to two years in prison on charges of inciting hatred, division or national, racial, religious or ethnic failure.
The Serbian list says the decision on participation, or not in local elections, will take it after consulting with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
Remembering that Pristina constantly violates the Brussels Agreement at the expense of Serbs in consultation with the president, Aleksandar Vuciq and our leadership, we will consider whether we will participate in the upcoming local elections”, a communique of this party is said.
The Court of Appeals ruling has also reacted to the mayors of the majority Serb municipalities of northern Kosovo: Northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Leposaviqi.
According to them, the decision flagrantly violates the Brussels Agreement in the field of justice and jeopardises the fundamental rights of Serbs.
They have said they will also consider participating in local elections in Kosovo.
Kosovo Serb representatives in their reactions have said the decision was taken by a single-ethnic panel of judges, and according to them the Brussels Agreement for Justice between Kosovo and Serbia envisions panel with ethnic mix.
