In a word of the case in launching the construction of this university, Petkov stressed that 10,000 students, professors, as well as the town of Mitrovica Kosovar have waited for this day for 22 years.
“These are not ordinary days, and today we did not set up an ordinary turquoise, but a cornerstone of the Serbian people's harmony and unity in Kosovo, and that is why today we are united as we were and as we will be the Serbian List and the University and State of Serbia”, Petkovic said.
According to him, “alone in that unity our people have a future, as President Aleksandar Vuciq said yesterday”.
Petkovic said the value of this project is around 614 thousand euros and estimates it will be a magnificent object for the pride of every resident in northern Mitrovica.
