Police in response have said that from July 30, 2021 to the present, we are witnessing many fires that have involved municipalities in the Pec region, and especially in the National Park in the village of Stepeq the Great Rugova.

“During this period KPs along with partners: F The SK, Emergency Agency, Firefighters, National Park Management Agency, Municipal Framework, Customs is ongoing in order for the fires to be placed under control and completely eliminated”, says the communiqué.

Until in other municipalities we have the situation under control, the fire in the village of Grand Staff is still not under complete control”, police announce.

Police abroad have said that yesterday in the afternoon hours following the danger of facing some of the village's houses by fire, residents have been evacuated by them for the sole purpose of preserving their lives.

The same “are still not allowed to return to their homes, since the danger has not yet passed, so we seek understanding from them”, said the Police Community.

We prefer all citizens who frequent the mountainous areas of the Pec region, and in particular the Bojeshks and Nemun, who are fully careful and maintain anything that can activate fires during the use of (scrips, cigarettes, curtains, wildlife fires etc.)

Kosovo police require citizens to be careful and avoid lighting fires and to report or inform the RK of any suspected persons who may be involved in cases of fires.
