Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Service Director Valbon Krasniqi says he is being forced to organise additional beds.
We now have 1,179 patients who are receiving treatment at QKUK clinics and seven general hospitals in Kosovo. This number has now passed the number 1,010 patients we had on the pandemic peak during November of last year”, Krasniqi told RTV21.
He further said they are already being forced to look for beds and additional spaces within clinics.
“We need to organise additional beds, look for more spaces to add these capacities. We can't compete with the virus as much as the virus can infect. We should not look for additional beds, but we must stop the” virus, he said.
Infectiologist Krasniqi said stopping the virus is done only through inoculation and respecting protection measures by each citizen.
He said relaxing the situation in the past three months has influenced us to have such widespread spread of the virus recently.
