Speaking to pilgrims and tourists at St. Peter's Square of his weekly blessing, the pope said he was following the events in Afghanistan with “great concern” and was feeling the pain of those groaning for the dead of the suicide attack on the Kable Airport Thursday.
He also said he felt close to “with those seeking help and protection”, Reuters reports, Periscopi forwards.

As Christians, this situation requires our commitment. And because of this, I appeal to everyone to raise their prayers and fast. Now is the time to do it.” /Periscope
