Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators have indicated that they have arrested yesterday a police official on suspicion that the same has committed the unauthorised possession of narcotics, psychotrope or analogue”.
The first information IPK investigators had received through operational routes this police official was not holding to the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, which had decided on the same measure of house arrest (about a case where the official was suspected of misuse of official office).
Based on this information, the IPK had asked Kosovo Police to verify whether the house arrest measure issued by the Pristina Constitutional Court is implementing it, but police officials had not encountered the high-ranking suspect in his home, nor in the monitoring facilities.
IPK investigators have later been reportedly identified and during the same search allegedly released a bag that is suspected of being narcotics substance of marijuana.
After these actions, the police official has been arrested and by the prosecutor's decision has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours on suspicion that he carried out the unauthorised possession of narcotics, psychotrope or analogs” by Article 269 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, the IPK report said.
