Police destroy two parcels of narcotic cannabis sativa in the Kostara area

Kosovo police, today at the border belt in the Kostunica area, have discovered two plantations with plants suspected of being sativa cannabis.
The two parcels have found 60 plants, ranging from 30 inches [50 cm to 120 cm] in length.
Police relevant units have emerged at the scene: officials of the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics Investigation (DHTN) -Gjakovs, forensics and police officials from the Regional Directorate of Border Police, the West Gjakova.
Police actions have been conducted in co-ordination with the Prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutorship-Gjakova, after much better consultation has been initiated by the case of weed planting, cocaine bush or cannabis plants.
“On the scene all found plants are destroyed with burns in a safe place. DHTN investigators will continue to address this case in the coming days. Significantly, Kosovo border police have even been co-operating with the State Police of the Republic of Albania.
Kosovo police, in this case the border police, will continue to be committed to fighting any trans-border phenomena, including the cultivation of narcotic plants”, the PK communique said.
